Clubs that push players onto programs that aren't appropriate will soon find college coaches don't take their phone calls any longer. Relationships matter in this business and PDA has them. That's why colleges keep coming back to them. It's a known product. Even white and the ECLR players have good results. At some clubs ECLR kids may as well play local EDP.

smart kid has choice between MFA and PDA white.

asks us where to go, my kids at MFA, we say PDA

Plays for PDA white, ends up going to a D3 school with a 2% acceptance rate. Plays, is happy with team, coach and school.

we stay with MFA because kid happy…same coach…same school says no thanks….coach says looking at winning culture….

my kid loved the coach and school but coach said no thanks
Nice story bro. If a kid has talent coaches will be interested. They do t care about W/L records. Now, if there time is limited at a showcase and they have to pick seeing bubble player from PDA vs MF? Sure ok. But it's the MF has something they want they'll male the effort.

Top clubs can help open a few more doors faster but ultimately the player has to sell themselves

I think that's what is lost with a lot of people. Not from PDA, but my daughter's club had a good reputation with some schools. Schools can only do so much in person scouting, so they rely on others' opinions. Clubs that don't do them wrong, they go back to often. As long as the club keeps delivering, they will keep going to them.

Don't like how it goes? Get your club to fight on your behalf; or become a college coach and do it differently.

Maybe the coach was talking about family culture?

Hit it on the money with relationships. PDA's brand nationally is at a higher level than any other club in NJ and a college coach will take a borderline kid at PDA just to keep or establish a relationship with the club. Other clubs may have "hidden gems" for coaches, and they may head to that club in search of another underrecruited kid who can come in and contribute. The opposite can also happen where a school may no longer trust a club/coach if there are issues when a kid gets to campus. There are other good options in NJ but I think it's pretty clear that PDA (for now) is the spot to be to get the most eyes on you on the girls side.

I call BS, NO ONE on PDA White believes in a winning culture. PDA White teams are typically train wrecks with girls that year over year are branded by their own Club as "not good enough" to play for PDA Blue. Forever B Team players. I wouldn't want any on my college squad.

Great point …… winning culture at PDA White. Don’t think so.

Coaches don't care about some made up winning culture. They care about individual players, their individual skills and individual attitudes. They know PDA turns out a quality product, product being players not teams. Even on white. The PDA will open a few doors faster but that's it. If a player doesn't have what they're looking for the coach moves on. If coaches aren't shopping losing teams it's not so much because of the win/loss record but the quality of players. Most players on losing teams get recruited because, again, it's about individuals
