MFA Mercer boys has 50+ boys in multiple HS age groups for *2* teams (just look at the TGS rosters). I have an 07 and they have 20 kids in the pool sitting out each match day. I asked about having a third team play EDP and was told it was fine since they have ~30 games left. I've never seen a more blatant and ridiculous money grab.

Here's the RL roster sizes for MFA Mercer boys:
06: 26
07: 28
08: 22
09: 22
10: 23
11: 21
The biggest pool (07s) could have 3 teams and still not dress everyone. The smallest pool (11s--12 year olds!) is not dressing 3 each match day.

- on that roster is probably 2 goalies - one who dresses for a game. If you only carry one goalie... you better have a back up stud on the team below.
- that leaves 18/19 field players...1 to 2 are injured/sick at any given point
so you really have a full roster or maybe a game day roster of 17 with 6 subs. Which is fine.

at these big clubs that attract the badge chasers with 25-30 kid rosters, it's a given that the majority of the roster sees little field time on match day, but how do the coaches handle training sessions with a 25-30 kid roster? do the players beyond the top 11 even get high quality training?
