With the adddition of Ukies to the Mid Atlantic conference, MFA will moving to the New England conference next season. They are the only ECNL team from North Jersey, so it just makes sense to move them now that the Ukies are in the Mid Atalntic. Sort of like what happened to CSA when SJEB joined the GA. CSA got shifted to a different division to even things out. The New England conference only has 8 teams, and the Mid Atlantic has 10, not including Ukies. Just wait till the 2009 Shore parents have to drive to Boston for one game. Prepare for PDA to get more MF players next season.

Honestly, white and MF should both move to New England. That would even things out a bit. I believe the reason why white was moved was because of logistics. Nothing to do with them being PDA, it was just that they were a central jersey team. I think the nearest New England conference team is world class, and they are about a hour away, and if i'm correct, they were the furthest team South in the conference. Having a team travel 3+ hours for a game other teams were only traveling 2hrs for is crazy.

Agreed but that won't happen until if or when they start demoting or promoting clubs. That won't happen until or if ECNL management has secured the last few clubs they want and feel secure in their position.
Girls youth soccer in NJ is all f@cked up. Why not all compete on the same platform with tiered levels? Then competitive clubs can have a competitive schedule made up of local high level games within an hour drive, regional games and national games. Then institute a proper relegation system.
You just had one platform swallow up three top teams from another platform that are better than a good portion of teams already in ECNL. Instead of ECNL building and nurturing to help build nascent clubs it brought in through its RL ecosystem it brought in turnkey GA clubs that just skipped the line over RL clubs to join ECNL.
None of this is about development and growing the game. It’s all about mergers, acquisitions and recruitment.
At the end of the day, tons of athletically talented kids and families will be priced out of a system that just to get inside the door you will need $4,000.
The American youth soccer system, especially girl’s side, is all screwed up and foreign systems will begin to lap US teams.
