How does this work? Lets say your an EDP Prem 8 team with a 10-0-0 record how far will you be promoted? Does it depend on how much you won against the other teams in your league? What if you won a 2nd place team let’s say 1-0 would they also get promoted as much as your team even though they had a 9-1-0 record because they lost to your team?

I don't think it's a set formula, but if your in edp 8 and have a 70- 10 goal differential across 10 games, it's likely you get bumped 2-3 tiers, ultimately I believe it's negotiable based on where coach sees direction of team

You can always challenge your placement. Just have some solid data to back up. Good if you played in tournaments or played some crossovers. EDP will listen to you (to some point). They do NOT want 10-0 games either.
I would expect have expected Parsipany from last spring to move up 2 groups here:
https://system.gotsport.com/org_even...s?team=1253011
but they only moved up 1, and where 7-0 in the fall with 7 shutouts (5 by 5 oals or more)
https://system.gotsport.com/org_even...s?team=1568238
but honestly, being in the bottom division of EDP can be hard on teams, because a bunch of new teams join each year and just get put down there. From our club I always find the lowest group is always harder than the 2nd to the bottom
I would think they would get moved up 2 divisions for the spring, but some clubs like to hold their teams back so they have a good record

Now usually the top 2 or 3 teams in a division are looked at to move up as well as the bottom 2-3 but they don't have to as EDP doesn't have any mandates to make teams move divisions if they don't want to. This is why you see undefeated teams staying in lower groups and teams that can't win staying in higher ones. To be honest, if your team is playing in EDP Prem 8 I'd have to ask...why? You'd find the same level of play with your local town league at that point.

For promotion - you just have to be able to prove you can hang. Record, crossover games, commitment to tournaments. Funny enough-there are tons of academy teams that would rather just play lower flights and look better in wins than get promoted. So there's no shortage of opportunities when teams are looking for a challenge. Someone told me points matter but that seems suspect.

What about relegation. If you lose all games do you automatically go down? Or can coach ask to stay in league?
