This is for USYS. So if existing club doesn't approve (despite being fully paid and remains fully rostered for spring), we have no recourse?

They arent allowed to if you are fully paid

Transfer Requests made between December 15th and February 15th , and after June 1st , may only be approved if: (1) The releasing club mutually agrees to release the player inside of the transfer window, or (2) The releasing club contests the transfer within 30 days of the request, and the player has met their obligation of fees/property to the club, or (3) The releasing club has been provided 30 days to accept or deny such request and has left the request unanswered.

Which is a problem with youth sports - there's always a new crop of kids to fill open spots/teams. There's constant churn so little changes. An exodus has to be truly massive and that just doesn't happen unless there's some huge scandal or epic management collapse. Even more so at clubs that have the right patches desired by parents

the 12s are fine as they are but he has picked girls to add to make 11 v 11 happen on field and added new goalie. Team will continue to be awesome

Not the poster but you better get used to additions and changing rosters. First there's the move to 11v11, then there's the funnel into the better leagues before HS. Clubs will always take players that they think will make a team stronger. Some kids will get cut or drop out because they're not strong enough.
