So GA is Breaking Northeast+North Atlantic into 3 groups?

23 teams in Northeast and North Atlantic combined. At least in the Northeast everyone plays everyone 2x times for 20 games, but in the North Atlantic you play everyone once and 5 teams a second time. Makes it kind of awkward since you can have a much harder schedule than others. Just heard (ok the guy I heard this from is basically full of it, but I like the idea, so part of me wants to believe) they will break them up into 3 groups: Northeast, North Atlantic and Mid Atlantic with 8 or 9 teams in each group (so adding 1-4 teams). Maybe a couple from the failed GA Rising and a couple others that make sense geographically (since GA Rising is very NYC/NJ based)

Doubt it is real, but who knows. More teams, more money, must be better, right?

Should consider dropping a couple of those teams too.

You could probably start with Cedar Stars Bergen. They seem to struggle in every age group. Same with PA Classic and RNY. A realignment may help, but you shouldn’t be rewarded for losing. Earn your way back.

Likely won't happen with any of the teams that stepped up when the DA initially fell apart, although CSA Bergen has some issues it seems.

Lol it's about market share and making sure another league doesn't get more. ECNL has some dogs as well. Promotion and relegation would be ideal but it won't happen. The only clubs that would leave a top league would be because it was their own choice, notV hat GA ECNL or MLSN decided for them.

People also need to remember that winning and losing arent the only thing that matter with membership. The market share point is a good one because these leagues also want good geographical coverage, care about club resources to be a stable member in the league. Cedar Stars Bergen/North is backed by $$$, has phenomenal fields/infrastructure and doesn't geographically conflict with any other club.

RNY was a club that got booted from the DA. Why they were asked back in, who knows.

what is the source of this? and i think you mean NE and Mid-Atlantic. The GA has expanded every year since it was formed in 2020

Just a DOC of a mid level club that is dying to get into some Club v Club. And yea, I meant Mid-Atlantic

And there are already 5 NJ teams there. Throw in NJ Premier (dont think they are ready, but they are beating people up in what was supposed to be GA Rising and I expect they would love to join), Long Island SC, New York SC, the Ukraines, you are already at 9 without hitting the ones further out in PA or CT

Probably a better money maker than the GA Rising thing

They need to be careful how they structure conferences before they really do just become the old NPL again.

Metro ASA also did not get renewed.

does that matter since very few of the current day parents remember that so its "new to them"
