      Boys or girls?

As with any club it can vary by age group/team etc.

Boys there are more options but for girls what else is there around? Rush and MFM would be a hard no for our youngest.

Also depends on the level the kid can play/wants to play.

Boys they are way behind PDA Hibernians based out of Notre Dame HS and MFA based out of Mercer County Community College. They are still behind the two Princeton clubs as well.

Girls, they are better than MFA at a few age groups, but are behind in others. Probably a toss up between the two as best girls club in Mercer County. All the talent goes to ECNL at either PDA north, PDA South, or FC bucks/Hex.

Wanted to know for girls 09, 11,12 and 14. Don’t take it the wrong way please but it seems MFA Mercer generates a lot of strong opinions (pros and cons), and I was looking for something more focus on playing than politics (although I know it’s complicated). I guess they are a little club but seem to be ECRL, and many girls playing for the HS in the areas so I was wondering if it was a good or bad thing not finding information about them…

Trash. They sold us on this regional league saying that they would soon be in ECNL. Now they just told us it’s going to be a couple years before we can even attempt to get in. Said it’s not probable until at least 2 or 3 years from now.
well, we don’t have that time to waste. We are gone after this year.

Ok, besides the league… coaches, environment, training opportunities? Does somebody have feedback on it?

If your kid was ECNL material, you wouldn't have said oh great ECRL, she would have moved to ECNL.

Where you going next year for ECRL?-:)

It is as politics free as a club can be and have some very good coaches but like any club nothing is perfect.

Best way to see if it may be a fit is having the kid go to some trainings/catch a game if you can.

The 2012 girls team is champions of premier 6. Congratulations to the team.

I had to double check it myself:) thought they quit on the 2012 group…it seems they had very good results so may have been better on a higher bracket, in any case, happy for those girls

Hahahhahaha I ‘m sorry but that team only has 3 good mids (one 2013), they are barely enough to make a team and the only reason they win is because they don’t let the ball cross the midfield… one lucky shoot is enough.
2009 is very good and 2011 too, 2014 has potential but not sure they’ll now how to train it (2009 only has 2-3 girls from the original team). You are better trying MFA, GAK or even patriots (all in the area and good at that age) and switching for U13 (that is when the girls will go to relevant tournaments)

Do not base this on the fact they are now in ECRL Northeast. I only know the 2010 girls team, good coaches, seem to be well run org. They are in 2nd of 10 teams in ECRL, but in 10th of 11 teams in mid Atlantic premier 1. What does that tell you? ECRL is not good soccer.

2011s are ranked 65 in the rankings app? That counts as being good? 2011 MFA Mercer team just won state cup. Think this age group is fairly obvious who is better.
