They ended up 3-2, so they definitely aren’t be bad ( they won their other 2 fights with ease) … I don’t know why there aren’t more girls trying to get in there…
Agreed, most of them have the game completely figured out, they play clean, good passing, good fights, good feet and body techniques (and they aren’t big girls) and some of them really know what they are playing, which is surprising at this age . I’ve heard good things of the coach, and you can see on the way the girls play despite their limitations. I’m surprised of their numbers.

They just sent the good behaved ones to the tournament then :)
MFM A is definitely better that this team, I don’t think the B team is better (only based on this weekend so I may be wrong). But they are far from being terrible so not sure we are talking about the same team. I may add that a couple of girls could do the cut for MFM A (not as a top stars but definitely better than some of the current ones)

The team has completely changed. You can’t compare this team with lasts year’s… but they are definitely short on numbers. If they keep a strong coach this team is going to thrive. It’s up to the club to decide if they want to sink this age group or if they are giving them a chance. I honestly think the girls excel during the trial period with BT.

MFM is the worst so not sure why any kids are there TBH other than proximity to home.

The team is currently in premier 6. Hard to fathom them succeeding in ECNL from that low tier of soccer, regardless of the level of coaching. The numbers issue is secondary as surely they can find 5-6 rec level players to fill out the roster.

Still they managed a 3-2 against a premier IV (#26 in NJ) with only 8 girls…
I don’t think they’d set for rec level fill ups, they shouldn’t

They didn’t loose a single game in premier 6, they were bracketed based on last year, I’m sure they’ll go a couple of brackets up if EDP allows it.

Idiot! The 2011 team was prem3 and they’ve struggled in ECNL, so even if they are a prem4 team, the statement still rings true, they will get crushed in a top league.

You know, the good thing about NLSA is that they invest in the kids development, they may get crushed the first year, even second… but then they thrive as some other people has stated. Other teams are awesome at recruiting, yes, they thrive during the first years but then they go down. They have mentioned 2010 NLSA and up are amazing and I agree, I’m sure younger teams will follow the same path.

It really is something to behold. After viewing a single training session/practice I was in disbelief. Kids would be better served just training on their own.

We live less than a mile from where MFM trains and still would never consider as an option.

I know, but 2012 is almost a completely new team… the base is very good and the disposition even better. I really think they ‘ll do great things
