Everyone is catching up to MFA. We’ve seen this play out year after year.
Truth is many of these teams just sit in a low block and hope for a 0-0 draw or 1-0 win. It’s not soccer, and for the few who think it is…. It’s not sustainable. Even MFA does it. South. White. Maryland.

They’re really not… and MFA isn’t exactly something to strive to “catch up” to.

Right. Check out the results in the last 4 weeks vs the 1st 4 weeks.
As I said, low block and physical play is not sustainable.

What isn’t sustainable? You play teams how you match up to them. If you are outgunned you have to play more defensive. This isnt earth shattering news. You prefer they go toe to toe and lose or try to mix things up and see what happens? A good team if that actually exist will eventually learn to play teams like this but still that doesn’t wins especially in soccer. The same tactics happen on the international level. Solid teams like France play much more defensive teams on a regular basis. Every game isn’t aFrance vs England.
My point is…. spread that approach out over a 20+ game season and the best teams with the most talent playing actual soccer will end up at the top. And the players on teams playing the low block will not only lose more often than not with the occasional 1-0 win and a few 0-0 draws, but the players will not develop either.
So, if your idea of improvement is getting a few 0-0 draws at U13 vs losing 5-0. I get it. But it gets you nowhere in the end.

And certainly not rocket science to take the position the best teams will end up at the top. Genius.
What else you got that might make you look foolish?

They don’t develop over the course of a season bc they always play on their heels. No chance to move the ball and improve when they can hold onto the ball for more than a second. They lack foot skills, but have some speed. That could translate somewhere else under the right coaching.
