High School Soccer - Why Early Start Times

Anyone know the logic of starting these High School games so early in the day. I get that some fields might not have lights, but these teams playing later in the tournament group stages are playing on their Stadium fields.

How are games starting 1:30 (West Orange v Westfield). ?
    SHP v Bergen @ 2:00 tomorrow

The students at these school are barely out of school no ?
    Parents cant get to games
Nor can the neutral fan like myself as I have a day job

Would they want to have games later at night .. get a good crowd... environment.. concession stands...
    Friday night football type environment..

Early start times are not making sense to me, what am I missing ?

It gets dark at 4:30 and these games can and do go to overtime quite often. Not every area has turf/lights/stadiums and if they don't know what teams will be playing they go with early start times.

My kids HS has zero home field advantage it is a muddy mess come late October/November.

Largely due to NJISSA tournament rules which dictates start time. Add to that transportation issues, field scheduling etc- weird times.
