Play GA. College coaches don’t care about ECRL and USYS. It why if you go to any ID camp they divide them up with GA and ECNL on one field and everyone else on another.

There are exceptions but unless you are on some super duper USYS team and those are few and far between, you are better off playing GA or ECNL.

Are implying that you only need an ECNL badge but can be on the lowest performing team and it doesn’t matter? Sign me up then.

If you are a good player, it doesn't matter what league you play in.
Attend an ID camp and show your stuff. A good player will stand out.
Remember it's about development.. So finding the right coach, the right team that's what most important .

There are many Toxic coaches and teams out there... find your fit and see how your daughter will flourish..

They just bench the struggling ECNL kid and bring on an outside player (soccer is a business). Once you are on RL, you stay there.

ECNL dad, lay off the weed. It is way stronger now than it was when we were all younger. The only way you have parity between ECNL and ECRL is if you are at a truly awful club and even than it is a stretch to imagine. Difference between ECNL and ECRL at PDA North, World Class or Match Fit is enormous. The better players will play first team at GA way before they play 2nd team ECRL for the most part.

ECNL>GA>USYS 64>ECNL RL=USYS NPL with exception of ONLY ECNL RL Texas and SoCal league which is >GA

Definitely not the op and totally agree. That said the R teams at top clubs "might" be worthwhile depending on what your other options are. PDA R will get college looks with the right programs (lower level D1 and D3). R teams at weak clubs most likely aren't unless you like setting your cash on fire. A GA team team or even EDP might be a better option

The bottom white, south most of MF don’t attend the good showcases or playoffs. So exposure is the same as ECRL. If you are PDA Blue or you got lucky with a good MF team (I think 2006 may be the only decent one) then it’s all good. You’d be a fool to think otherwise. Best of luck.
                    Clueless.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts were on which is more beneficial overall. Quality, exposure, etc....

Top half ECNL team > Top half GA > Bottom half ECNL > Bottom half GA > ECNL RL = USYS D1 > Elite 64 > EDP ... ECNL/GA will have a lot more exposure than anything else. For the top 5% of players that will move on to D1 national playoff schools ECNL is favored but isn't the end all be all. Anything else it doesn't matter between ECNL or GA. If you play in another league it is possible but may be tougher to get noticed.
