Should we start taking bets now on when Danny A Game will begin going on his video rants about club soccer and tryouts? Will he continue to encourage families to only pay for his training instead of club soccer? Winter season is coming where Danny needs the money to pay for his small facility that he fills with garbage cans and too many players in a practice
A few months ago I had made a comment on this guys facebook page which i am still confused how I was on his friends list but anyway in one of his post he was being very critical of club coaches. I posted back at him defending the coaches like himself and and how is what he is doing different from those that he was bashing. I guess he didnt like what i said lol and blocked me then all of a sudden i get a call from a parent of my high school daughters team at RBC trying to validate this guy lol again I had to check her also on what he was saying and doing was very suspect. Not even sure who this guy is but from what i saw in his training videos were things that create very bad habits as far and the kids were always looking down at the ground dribbling. Anyway my two cents.

Eric,
There is no doubt that the girls who have come through his doors have benefited from his teaching of technical skills. Something that is sorely lacking in the womens game today. What tends to happen is that young players 7 or 8 are taught a variety of moves and like most young players they tend to use all of them and at the wrong times Further some stop going forward and tend to just dance on the field with their head down. They are in the experimental stage. They are learning to love the freedom of dancing with the ball. Because of this, they dont win very many games. Effectively they have been given a portfolio of moves and they are experimenting. After a while the moves are pared down to the individual and they begin to figure out a concise quick move and faster decision is better than dancing. There head comes up and the field opens up An elite game will demand them to speed up the process. By the time they hit 13 and are involved in elite soccer you will find those players to be superior technically to various degrees. Further when pared with a real athlete, the player becomes a double threat.
I am not condoning his behavior. I just know that there are many worldclass ecnl players that have gone through his program. And those teams compete very well with PDA Blue.
For the fellow below who just posted this… There are very few world class kids involved in Danny’s program. There are better technical trainers in World Class and northern jersey clubs than Danny who also are better role models. I don’t understand the response about PDA Blue or World Class but these are facts.
I agree that players need to become technical and any extra touches on the ball are great. U10 and under it is important for them to focus on becoming comfortable with the ball. Specifically when they are put under pressure by other players. Some of what Danny does is good for those age groups as his sessions incorporate many touches. I don’t understand the purpose for one kid working at a time dancing around a garbage can while another stands there watching. Is it because he has such a small facility, the number of players are too high or is it simply that he doesn’t know how to run a proper session that flows? Only Danny can really answer that. The issue here I think is Danny himself in regards to the person that he is and the way he is towards the kids. There is a way to get your point across without belittling a 10 year old, cursing at them or acting like a maniac on the sidelines. Danny seems to have some personal demons as well and faces other obstacles in his life that I think he needs to figure out or get some help with.
He does a great job advertising his clinics, the name is catchy and he is good with social media. The question becomes if your daughter learning some different skills is worth putting her around somebody like that or in that environment. The only person who can decide that is the parent themselves.

I posted the reply to Eric,
your statement about no worldclass players is simply not true. Perhaps you are not aware so I will be more specific. My daughter is currently at Worldclass.
There are a number of 07 worldclass ecnl girls that were part of A game. 8 to be exact. There were several 06 girls there on world class who particpated in training at A game including LIllian and Gabby. There are more than 3 girls on the 05 team that were A gamers.
Im not standing up for Dannys character but i will say his list of past trainees are pretty impressive.
D has done a few of Danny's trainings over the years and she is a better player for it. I think people forget that what he teaches isn't the end all be all secret ingredient to becoming a pro it is just 1 part of becoming a better player. Those that don't listen and keep their head down during drills will never become super stars no matter who trains them. They are more focused on fast than smooth and have the need to see what the ball and their feet are doing instead of learning to feel the ball and looking around.

imo his price and flexibility is appealing. Especially the siblings free part. We ironically have never been, but have know of it for years. The strange part is many people (coaches, trainers, parents) have asked me and my kid if my kid trained with A-game. I was surprised the first time but it’s been asked a lot of my kid so I do wonder - is that a good or bad thing?

Not just kids from WC. Top girls from MF, PDA, SUSA, CSA, STA, and PF all attend regularly. Some multiple times a week. But they keep it to themselves. You may not like him, but they guy is a very good trainer.

Hell there are players on Erics own PDA team that have gone through his program
Think parents on here are speaking about his training necessarily. It sounds like the issue is with Danny as a person and the baggage he comes with on and apparently off of the field.
I've noticed many of the players on my kids team who go there have no field vision as they are always looking down at their feet and doing unnecessary footwork.

but they are the best dancers on the soccer field! Dance baby! Watch out for that garbage can!
There’s definitely value in his training, but it can’t be the only thing they do. Ball mastery and footwork to get in and out of small spaces is important, especially at an early age… But I’m sure he has customized his entire training to the limitations of his facilities. Or maybe just to focus on 1 thing and be the best at that. Or both.
Any other trainer who has a larger field to work with takes advantage of that and mixes it all up.
