My DD will be an incoming freshman at our local HS. She recently asked me for some advice on how to impress the upperclassman and most importantly the head coach.
I told her simply, make sure you wear your club training gear to all captains practices to show the other kids that you mean business and you play at a club level. Most importantly when you are calling for the ball, make sure you project these keys words “yeah, yeah” with your arms out and palms up in the air.

Agreed. Wear the gear. Hs coaches love to hear how superior your club is, especially in regards to training. Maybe tell your daughter to offer to lead some drills she learned in club. Even better, sit out hs practice due to overworking at club. Coaches love that!!!!

Remember now that high school has started please make sure your kids wear their club attire to HS events. It separates you from the pack. Its a way of saying, I play club soccer so therefore I am better than those who don't.

And remember as a SSP, once the games start you must only speak with other SSPs. Only we know what it’s like to have our kids dominate both club and HS teams.
