UNC has been in 29 final fours and won 21 titles and most recent final four last year. No other program even compares. UNC is the sole elite program when considering legacy, titles and most recent appearances in finals. Other programs in the tier below are very good with titles and appearances in final four within the last ten years such as FSU, Stanford, UCLA, Santa Clara and Penn St. In my opinion, Rutgers is making its way into the second tier with another final four appearance/title in the next few years and that’s nothing to sneeze at.

RU won the matches that they were favored to get to the Championship Cub. After the first 10 minutes RU settled down and never lost there shape and played well defensively. It took a great goalie to make some great plays. FSU goal only came on a set piece ball into the box that then had a lucky bounce. That’s it! RU was in this game till the end. You cannot ask for more. No one is saying RU is elite but they are a top 15 program who consistently make the Big Ten tournament and the NCAA Tournament. That’s a winning program.Comment

RU has two trips to cup; zero to finals and no national trophy. Top 15? No. They have to overcome 2018 and 2019 first game outs, especially 2019 to CCSU. Make the sweet sixteen consecutively for a few and then let's circle back.Originally posted by Guest View Post
