Can anyone explain FC Stars tiers?

Their website does not help as much as we hoped.

I’ve never even heard of the FC Stats Granite team and apparently that’s a thing this year? Kids a 2009 btw and was offered a spot on a white team. But I don’t even know what’s what! Currently play for seacoast and wondering if it’s worth the switch? Any help would be super cool since I’m just confused af at this point

A lot of players and families going to be feeling let down this year when they realize what they have been sold by JS and Stars NH.

      I would ask
top stars NH at 2009 is ECRL2 that would be comparable to seacoast NAL

I would ask what league and what tier (NECSL flight 1) then compare that to where your kid plays now. How a club names a team is irrelevant TBH and I agree confusing

switching for a better coach can be helpful

Granite tier will be new for the 2024-2025 season. For the boys it will be Granite, Blue and then white. For the girls with no ECRL at their age group then it will be same as the blue for levels. For age groups with ECRL, then it will be ECRL Skyblue, granite, blue, white. White may not exist for some age groups depending on numbers, as it would be the 3rd or 4th level/tier.

Boy or girl? If you don't know what league the team will be in, ask the coaches!! Sounds like granite teams could be in EDP or RAL (depending on age/sex)

Granite is the top pathway for non ecrl teams. They are taking them to USYS National League. After RAL. IMO, depending on age, can be comparable to NAL, especially the top half of the division. Been around a long time and well run league that plays team vs team and not club v club, so it’s accessible if you have a team they perceive is good enough to compete. Of course, not an exact science. But I’m sure you just had to ask someone and they would have told you that. I don’t think it’s a rip off - unless you left GA to play it, bc chances are it’s a lateral from a Seacoast NAL team or maybe a bump if the team has more talent and better coach. Big IF I will admit since it’s stars nh, but their are a couple.

Do not listen to this post. In no way is it remotely close to NAL. In fact I’d say most stars nh teams are town teams with the exception of the top one and even some of those are questionable. If you are on a second team at stars nh then it is definitely a town team. Sorry to be the one to tell you. Too many families taking the bait so this is going to continue and instead of paying $200 you will pay $2500 and I don’t want to hear about the coaching. It’s no better at those levels than a town. In fact most are town coaches.

Well ECRL parents are happy to pay so they can say their kid plays ECNL. But that’s a lot for non ECRL

I have to laugh at the stupid money parents pay or the money stupid parents pay. The ROI is small at best. Your clubs are ripping you off.
