    Money Grab Soccer Book

”Money Grab $$: A Parents’ Guide to American Youth Soccer” is a fantastic book that really details today's youth soccer environment. It also gives some great advice about the game and details the various costs involved in your player’s development lifecycle.

If you are a new parent wanting some understanding of the game and club environment, I highly recommend it. I got it on Amazon.

Once you go from recreational soccer, where it really is FUN with post-game tunnels and snacks, to competitive, you’ll see this is where the games really begin…enjoy.

I have read the book and its almost like the author who wrote it was a longtime SUSC parent.

Had a great conversation recently with a former SUSC parent who had two kids that left the program. They echoed the exact points in the book and they have never read it. Now we have another new club building another facility in the Wolfboro area. NH is becoming a cash cow for these clubs.

I agree. I’m so glad I’m done with these clubs. I spent a fortune on my kids. I would do it all over again but I would not fall to the travel hype. It’s all marketed as a competitive experience but it’s not. The same competition exists within a 50 mile radius. My advice, take your family on vacation. SUSC will sell you on going to showcases just to promote themselves.

JK and "Wolfe City"? They're not building a facility. Jamie learned all he could from SUSC before they unceremoniously kicked him out. Now he's running this rec/travel team out of Wolfeboro (note: not a city!) and continuing to spew his BS, including representing things like other people possibly building a facility as him doing it... the man is a joke.

SUSC has always been a rip off outfit. They go around marketing themselves to soccer professionals, but they’re all in for the money that’s it. Sometimes he’ll add a parent coach that may have coached or played soccer in the past, but that’s just another façade

The parent coach only comes into play when they are about to lose the team. Speaking from experience. lol.
