    2019 D1 Boys Starting a Lot

Let’s see how the freshman are doing. Criteria is starting 50% or more of their games.

    Player/team/G/GP/GS/G/A

    Amos Shapiro Thompson/BC/6/5/5/2/0
    Galen Lewis/Harvard/4/2/2/0/0
    Quinn Serafino/UMass/6/6/4/1/0
    Griffin Roach/BU/6/6/5/0/0
    Andrew White/Lehigh/5/4/4/0/0
    Owen Schwartz/Brown/4/4/4/0/0

One of the smallest D1 classes recently which is good IMO, but 6of 35 starting or 16%. Take note.

      Christian Pulselli/Michigan/6/6/2/0/1

Indiana , MState, Providence, UML , UVA = decent schools, great soccer programs

          All are D1

The decline is pretty clear over these years. Other clubs pulling ahead.

And no good homegrown players developed. So what did they actually accomplish? I’m surprised Bryan scales is still there. Thought he would be gone by now. His track record at UML and Cornell was pretty ugly too.

Anyone claiming Revs players just aren't smart is the real ahole. It's merely a failed attempt to take blame away from Revs development or lack thereof. Even if true it would require inside information.

How many of the 2016-18s are still playing or have been impact players?

The Revs want players that don’t like school which is why their players will appear less and less in commitment threads.

And the families that care about education will get their kids to prep school ASAP

For those that like to over-simplify:

Revs if you want to go pro.

Non-MLS DA (Bolts & Seacoast) / ISL if you want to go to college.

That's what it should be. But we are actually seeing more actual pro opportunities (signings, drafts) from this area coming out of the non-Revs paths. Rev's pro path not very promising.

So other than the lack of cost, not many good arguments for the Revs at all.

A tale of Revs Alumni. Not On Roster and Red Shirt are common themes. Almost no success stories

2019: Lehigh & UMass Lowell already answered

2018: Dartmouth:getting some ok minutes & UMass Lowell: Not on Roster

                            2017:
Dartmouth: Still on roster and playing some, but time has gone down since a freshman
Indiana: Injured most of Fr, big impact player year 2; now in USL
Louisville: Not on roster, only listed freshman year. Transfer out?
Michigan St: Both Red shirt this year. One got decent minutes Fr/Soph, the other only token minutes
Xavier: Red Shirt 2 years in a row

                            2016:
                            UMass : Not on roster
                            UMass Lowell: No on roster
                            NC State: No on roster
Providence:Is it Davock? Had a good career at BC, now RS at Prov
UVA: Both red shirt this year. One only had 7 games all prior years, the other 4

Don't know where to put is Aviza: Transferred from Syracuse to UCONN, now at Providence and R.S this year

Totally agree, but even at good pro clubs the chance of going pro is still extremely low. It's just even lower than that at the Revs. College is still the primary path for most MLS club players. See above to see that the Revs aren't doing well on that metric either

See post #688. The track record of Revs players in college is terrible and their placements keep getting worse each year.
