If USSDA keeps expanding the number of club, Academy is going to have to start categorizing teams in a National/Regional type play because watering down is going to happen across the country. (And doesn't this model look familiar...think USYS National/Regional team...everything just reverts back to the mean!!!) But it is the MLS teams that will likely continue to lure in the talent relatively speaking. And more and more college coaches are heading to Academy director jobs, with MLS clubs.

You all are assuming DA is "training" the talent sufficiently. It just isn't so. US players are at a huge disadvantage when compared to the rest of the world, and limiting play, while training 6-8 hours a week is just not gonna improve soccer in this country. Calling it "development" or an "academy" doesn't make either true. But it sounds good.
