I don't agree about practices, the kids are old enough and they need to self advocating. However, that doesn't mean parents shouldn't be able to reach out now and then with questions (within reason). A mid season review should be mandatory.

Just because you're not paying doesn't mean you're not entitled to know how your kid is doing or what they need to work on. Yes kids need to start advocating, but being kids they don't always hear things accurately.
Families should also know if their kid is on the chopping block for next year. With restrictive sub rules you can't always use PT as a measuring stick.
midseason feed back should be mandatory. if not coach driven, player then parents.
every player, even the top 11 should be allowed to explore other clubs without any fear of lost playing time. clubs bring in tryouts. so players should keep their options opens, especially if they feel they are on chopping block.

If you can’t handle uncertainty you are welcome to take your son somewhere else.
The kids that need to hear what to work on are being told what to work on frequently.
Go away Mr. Si****ky.

It is completely unacceptable that a fully funded MLS Academy will have 2 out of 3 teams finish below a pay-to-play local club. The entire organization should be embarrassed. Fire the scouts. Fire the coaches. Fire the Academy administration.
