Yet most are graduating without college commitments. They are the collateral damage of the Revs organization concerning itself with 2-3 players only. Thanks for working so hard, good luck in all your future endeavors.

You forget that most of the U19s never intended to go to college. The ones that wanted to go are going. I will admit they wasted a lot of exposure on a few players that will never make it big (which is sad since more players could have been helped).

So where do they go now? UPS? USPS?

They only like 6 commits! Granted, there are probably some 01s that are juniors but the bulk of the team should be graduating, including the 6-7 00's. I find it hard to believe that many kids don't want to go or play in college.

They’ll make more money with better benefits at those two places than they would playing for the Revs 1st team.

Scales could take his customer service skills to USPS, he would fit right in.

Our local USPS office is excellent. Maybe he could work in the back room sorting packages. It's mostly automated so he can't mess up too much.

Our local branch has sullen “jobs for life” bullies who don’t want the inconvenience of communicating with their customers.

If you look at the Revs players, there are a lot of immigrant families involved... it’s not in the culture to go to college to play sports. Consider that they go to Revs to pursue soccer goals and not to pay thousands of dollars to play at DA level.

If you look at Bolts Commitments, how many are getting ANY money in scholarship to play College Soccer? How many are going to be bottom of the roster, full paying college players?

For an immigrant family, college is still not accessible financially. The path is Community college and then a state school.

Ask yourselves, what would a terrible high school student, with extremely low income do in College? Play soccer, paying $50-80k per year? It seems a stupid investment on such person.

Plenty of blue collar careers that make more money than average college grad income.

The Revs success rate with turning out professional soccer players is significantly worse than their college commit percentage. What are these non-college soccer goals you speak of. If the end game is a trade then why bother with the Revs at all.

The non-college goals would be Soccer... of course out of College Soccer there will be more players, since they are a collective of good domestic and foreign players. But as we are taking Massachusetts, what Néw England DA club has produced more pro soccer players since the inception of the DA?

So from a soccer perspective and also financial perspective, Revs is a better option than Bolts / NEFC / GPS etc.

The big advantage the Bolts players have is that most of them are from high income families, living in good areas, excelente schools etc.... College is almost a foregone conclusion regardless of soccer.

Oh lord, please don’t offer up “homegrown” players as actual “pro soccer players.”

I think the answer to this question is the Bolts. But I may be wrong. Who has the numbers?

Scales alienates the parents with his juvenile aim to minimize contact with them. How to fix it? Firstly allow parents to watch practice, they need to know how their kids are doing. Second, keep parents informed about how their kid is doing, manage expectations. Third, resign and let someone who is good at their job take over.
