The Revs will be leaving and the Bolts will be coming.

Revs Residential Academy Update from Scalesy:

Status quo for Spring but he hopes to expand it next year.

So, the NY kid lasted 3 weeks before he got the hell out of Flopsborough. The VT kid is just happy to be near civilization so he's not going home. Next year they hope to replace a few kids they couldn't develop themselves with out of state kids developed somewhere else.

Nice nugget of info: Seacoast kids would rather relocate to Seattle than play for the Revs. Two Seacoast studs have left New England for the Pacific Northwest.

The ship is taking on huge amounts of water down at Gillette.

Most "on the NT radar" were Valeo squirts, not real players.

Both Seacoast kids were not scouted by the Revs. Seeing talent in a player is often very subjective. Also, it's being at the right place at the right time and impressing them then.

That said, Revs academy is on the lower end of the MLS scale in terms of recognizing and recruiting talent.

I saw one of them play once and knew right away he was special.

How many times did the Seattle scouts see them? The Revs played them 2 times a year.

They're practically minutes away. There's no excuse. Revs suck at id-ing talent. that's why there's so much turnover. Then some kids they want they can't get. Then the ones they get don't develop.

Because who's their scout? Jasir Charris. What qualifications does he have? Zero.

Revs are too lazy to look outside their 25 mile Foxboro radius, and now they're going to use the "residential" program to offer spots to kids developed at other DAs. Which right there is an admittance of poor developing.

Literally 6 states to scout and Charris can't be bothered to leave his hobbit hole in Foxboro or his home hobbit hole in Providence.

Not true. They tried to block one of them.

Charris is a ready-made academy mascot. So cute!

Are you joking??? The Revs absolutely wanted those kids! Seacoast has some solid development programs. It’s too bad it fractions off at the older age groups for various reasons. At least they understand their reality and help kids with real potential get to better clubs. They also have solid contacts at Philly and ATL.

Seacoast has integrity and wants the best for its players. The Revs academy is the opposite of that.

I'm actually glad my kid isn't good enough to move to Seattle, Philly or Atlanta.
