Haha! have you ever witnessed the brand of soccer the Revs youth teams play? Makes a HS freshman team look like an EPL team. Worst in all DA, jut a bungled mess.

You don't have to watch and rankly watching the Revs is no tea party either. But as a parent you should let your kid chose what makes him happy. Being on the Revs isn't a golden ticket. High level club and his own hard work can get him to the same place.

My kid can do what he likes, and he likes playing for the Revs.

Go Watch the U13 Revs and you will not be disappointed . Best players in all of New England on that team. Hands Down!!

MLS draft is just a PR show. 4 rounds BUT most teams don't even pick a player in lower rounds. Player from NU was top 60. Not picked in any round?

When you think about it there are kids that love playing for their 6th division NEP team so this statement makes perfect sense.

Yup--and the kids currently on that team (whether they stay or leave) will no longer be among the best in the area because of multiple years of poor coaching.

No one in their right mind would randomly go watch a U13 soccer game.

I looked at the Schedule/Standings for the U13 Revs and as much as I think the Revs are a joke this team is having a good season.

I just took a screen grab of the team. Now we can keep track of how many kids on this roster get cut as they go from age group to age group each year. Get ready to be shocked.

Most will be gone by U16, even sooner - either cut or left for a better fit elsewhere

That maybe the case, so it would be similar to BOLTS who dropped 7 kids from last years u13 kid. And then when that age group reaches u17, half of those kids.

but if any kid, in any sport just relies on team practices to develop, which sounds like all the REV Haters here, then they are destined to be where they are. And There lies the problem with USA youth sports. The parent feels they have to yell at refs during the game, "coach" their kid from the sideline and bad mouth a coach, team or organization because their little "soccer star" loss minutes. Instead, try encouraging your child to outwork everyone at practice, put down X Box remote and stop FortNite, and take ownership for his / her own development. Hence why I prefer track and field or any timed sport. But alas, she's a soccer player.
