I used to be the “my kid loves it at the Revs” guy. After 3 years now my kid hates the Revs and I do too. They are a fvcking joke. If only the Bolts weren’t worse he would leave today.

I’ve got to say I am one of the few who may have experience with all the major clubs in MA at mostly the top end. There is no perfect place to go. Revs, Bolts, GPS, NEFC all have their downfalls. Just hope your kid is having fun and if it helps get them into a good school then what do you have to complain about. So much negativity is hard to understand!

MT 2002 should be playing his own age group for most of the games. Not ‘playing up’ for 10 min. He’s wasting his time and talent.
MT 2004 wasted his time playing 6 min. For what?
The U17’s clearly have a weak back line, yet the same players are placed back there for 90 min.
Are clowns running the show there? Is everyone high? Drunk? I mean, what the hell is going on?
If the players are so bad, what does that mean for your kid sitting on the bench?

If you are from New England and want to get noticed you have to play for the Revs. Tab Ramos along with dozens of top end coaches at the games today. It’s the best we got unfortunately. Complain to Kraft is all you can do.

By far, the statement above is the best one I've ever, ever, seen on TS. This has to be a younger age parent of a Revs academy player. It just has to be. Poor guy has no idea what's about to come his way or how college coaches perceive the Revs academy to be developmentally the bottom of the barrel MLS club. I wish I can reach out to him and tell him what we all really know. Tab Ramos is NOT scouting the Revs mate!!! He was looking at Isaac "badboy" Angking ( spoke to him later), and he's also Burny's friend.

Dude, the DA Winter Showcase has at least 120 college coaches and independent US soccer agents crawling at the complex. They are not there for the Revs players, I assure you.Piece of advice, throw away the Scales flavored Koolaid in a dumpster at the closest field.

What's a "Striker FC" exactly?and why the Revs U17's loss to those baffoons?

GPS and NEFC are not "top end".

Are they "worse" because of team performance? Because that doesn't matter and the Revs aren't exactly rocking it either. Are they "worse" because the coaching isn't as strong? Hard to fathom since the Revs coaches blow. If your kid is really miserable then you owe it to him to at least explore other options. Don't let that organization suck his love of the game right out of him. It isn't worth it. If you're doing it for college opportunities then make a look at the annual commitment lists. Many local players not at the Revs do just fine getting into good schools. It's about the player and his skill and drive.

What a stupid statement. It's not even worth debating with this nit wit.

The Bolts have worse players, that is his assessment, not mine. He played with or against all these players growing up.

Can I ask a question? It's hypothetical in my case as we live nowhere near a DA club. It is this: for all those saying the Revs are terrible and to get out, where do you recommend they go?

Is there a club that's much better than the Revs? I am not being sarcastic, I see the Revs aren't a strong MLS academy; but I also just don't see other options that are much better.

Just trying to foster an interesting, and ideally, positive discussion.

                                Play high school.

                                Find any other club nearby.
