Let us know when the facility is actually built AND the DA teams get to actually use it. More importantly, let us know when they hire better coaches. Until then, no facility is going to get us interested.

Fields will be done for 2019. Most likely fall season. Building will be later according to Twitter.

I'm not just talking about the Revs but DA as a whole. They should be working with international clubs to get more kids involved, even if just for short periods of time (which works with visa issues also). It would give it more street cred and further improve player quality. But USSF doesn't want to admit they can't get the job done.
Going on trial and seeking better training over the summer are two very different things. But you know that.

Actually, fields are to be available Spring 2019. Building in the fall 2019.

Are you claiming there are more crack-pot parents with Revs rejects forcing them to abandon the best school system in the country for isolation to a phishing village ? That's hard to believe given the educational focus of the boys on the Revs teams.

The 35m sounds big but compared to other top performing MLS Teams it is actually half or way less than half of what they have invested in their facilities. Top facilities attract top coaching, attract top talent, attract fans, attract more money.

Doesn't seem like a real investment in the future. Maybe they will go for it with the stadium and try to rival Redbulls or DC or ATL but if not it kinda seals the deal as a middle tier soccer franchise.

And if MLS no longer protects homegrown territories and players can go anywhere and can choose from these amazing programs and facilities and the Revs can't try to block or mandate players.....seems like the program is going to continue its downward slide. Motivated coaches that want to reach the top level will go elsewhere.

Even if it gets built it will be a shack and its reported cost grossly inflated. That's how Kraft rolls.

And it 's far cheaper to build in KS than in MA. $35M around here really isn't a big deal.

Exactly. Teams like FC Cincinnati are spending 30m.

Short of it: NE Revolution and its DA is the red headed step child of the Kraft Sports + Entertainment Group.

Absolutely and it won't change unless ownership changes. Kraft took on the Revs with a buy and hold strategy, not a buy and build one. The team also helps him use a sleeping asset during the Pats off season.

All of what you say is true but show me another club that has a facility of this magnitude when done. Also, show me another high level club that fields about 90 kids at no cost to the families. It’s definitely not the best in the US but it is the best in this area and getting better. Personally I am impressed that they are spending this amount on a training facility. Moving in the right direction. First team still stinks!
