The Revs academy is not great, but most agree it is miles ahead of any other club in the Boston area.

Except when they actually play the other club in the area, although 'most' crazy parents don't consider that a valid metric of evaluation.

The Revs used to until they wound up losing all the time.

Most Revs parents. Normal people know the real deal.

What does”most” mean in your world. Few ever see a Revs training. Next to none see them play. How are “most” making an informed decision? I know their coaches. I know their players. I’ve seen trainings and games. What you believe “most” believe doesn’t reflect the reality of the situation. They are a decent soccer organization. I’ll leave it at that.

I am a Revs parent and most of the other parents are very normal. The few non-normal ones usually find a way to get their kids cut.

So it's more about parental compliance at the Revs than talent?

Not the OP, but IMO it should be a factor. Troublesome parents on the sidelines turn scouts away. That is a fact, and should be known. I know a scout who goes to showcases. There's way too many games to keep track of. If he sees or here's loonies, he just goes to another game. So, all 22 kids on that pitch lose out because of one loon.

No its more about talent and potential.
