Let's review the New England Revolution Academy and Bryan Scales' failures as Youth Director since 2007.

The following New England based players should have been with the first team and any explanation as to why they are not should be unacceptable from the Kraft Sports Group's point of view.

Jack Harrison
Miles Robinson
Mac Steeves
Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu
These are players who played their youth soccer in the Revs geographical area and should have been scouted, indentified and placed in the system immediately for pathway to the First team. Shame on them.

What about Caio Canedo Corrêa who plays for Al Wasl. He played youth soccer on Nantucket and was a High School star. Another missed one. Scales has no clue who he is. Clueless

He doesn't care about youth players; in fact having to spend a dime on youth players likely irks him to no end. The Revs first time is purely an investment, like a piece of real estate to him that he's holding on to so he can sell it later at a profit. However, like a slumlord he's unwilling to spend on improvements or even maintenance.

Yup, agreed. Years of systematic failures of an MLS team's youth director's in depth knowledge and unwillingness to forge relationships with local soccer coaches, the inability to learn the landscape and mistakes at the identification level. Billelo and Burns always preach of how having local players as pros help to build the fanbase. Well, they have failed mightily.

The current Revs 1st team goalkeeper would never have made the Revs Academy. He's a journeyman type. He's quirky. He's all will over skill instead of a robot. He's also probably a bad start away from the bench but good for him for seizing the opportunity.

That’s not how it works. I know it pains you and you really, really wanted them to fail but your information is false and they are doing very well. All three of them. No one pays. They quit the Revs. Sorry. I’m happy for them. Their success elevates MAsoccer too. Plus I can say my kid played with one of them.
