Revs kids get promoted to ulittles teams thanks to the good-old-boys pipeline rather than talent, then vanish. Been this way for years, your kid wasn't that good to begin with. Talent always wins out over conniving. Deal with it.

A tale as old as time at the Revs - pull in some skilled players at the younger ages, some get camp invites. Then don't nurture them and they're never invited again. Foxboro is littered with one and dones

Why this obsession with the Revs? From what I see is that many kids simply flame out after U12 or U14. Is that the Rev's fault? There are other kids that finish strong at the end of high school. The kids themselves have to develop, that is the kids (not the parents) have to want it bad enough to keep working. There will always be politics in this process, the kids themselves will decide on what they want to do and how much they want to work for it.

Sounds about right but add 'over-rated' to start with. NOT the Revs fault at all. For a few $k easy enough to get extra training to compensate for minimal x3 training. Most of these parents want someone to blame--other than themselves. Glad many of self-obsessed dbs are being shown the door.

When an organization sucks the love of the game out of players and does little to actually develop the talent they do get? Yes they are somewhat to blame. Sure players flame out from U12 to HS. By Hs ages the ones that are all in are just that, all in. Yet year after year the Revs have incredible churn rates with many kids opting for ISL instead. If they weren't the only MLS game in town and free, thus attracting at least some of the area's top talent, I'm not sure they'd survive as a DA club.

Just go ISL from the start.

An education lasts a lifetime. The commit lists shows ISL kids do just as well in terms of soccer placements as Revs and definitely better academically. No one is going pro from the Revs (I mean having a proper pro career. If your kid is the next Pullisic? Move).

Another way of looking at it is if soccer is your passion take it as far as you can. ISL is far inferior to DA. Work hard in your local high school, get good grades, make friends in your town, they last a lifetime.

Nice spin, ISL has some very, very, good players who commit to some top D1 programs in the country. Love the warm and fuzzy high school spin. Revs players are not the best the area has to offer my friend. Very common knowledge.
