You're all alone on this one. Not even the Revs are with you.

Were the players the Revs added for the Spring already on the DA roster? Doesn't that prove to you that the Revs are willing to bend the rules and add new players over the Winter?

What makes you so sure that they won't continue the policy of "adding" players over the Winter, within the USSDA mandated window?

The U17 team is abysmal. They can still hold strong(wink, wink) to their "no waivers" policy while improving their team by "adding" players after November.

You may be surprised by the defections after this season. They may be in no position to stand firm. Backfilling people will be a real challenge because the talent just isn't out there waiting for an email from the Revs.
Not only that but many will be moving into senior year. If you're not recruited into D1 by fall of your senior year it's never happening. You may still land a D3 spot. Why give up your senior year of HS ball for that train wreck?

It's a shame the that Revs have devolved to a point where players can't wait to leave.

I don’t know what they continue to say this? Don’t they know it’s literally the least an MLS academy spends? Well below the average...

“That straightforward question prompted a straightforward answer, according to club president Brian Bilello and academy directory Bryan Scales. Hence why – in addition to spending over $1 million a year to fund free youth programs from U-13s to U-19s, plus a U-23 team in the summer – the Revs have recently launched two initiatives.”
The NESJ article basically says that no Aztec, Bolt or GPS player will ever become a home grown player because the clubs will come after the Revs for the $10,000 solidarity payment.

Don't sign you rights away to the Revs. Period.

Stay away from the DA, play NPL, get a good education, enjoy high school soccer and then go on to college soccer.

No they were desperate to find some better players, even if they didn't really. Those players will want to stay on the Revs, I'm sure.

Yes, but not the Revs. Only one left last year was forward AC (U19 Revs). He didn't play his Rhode Island prep season and is college bound. Fell under dire "socio-economic circumstances".

You leave for better opportunities, use the Revs academy to your advantage.

My son did this and worked it out great. Just like anyone does with other clubs. Move on to better opportunities, it is not anything new.

                      Congrats to Revs GK Jones

Goal keeper E. Jones going to the Torneo delle Nazione in Italy with Shawn Tsakiris' U16 BNT.
Great accomplishment. Might be the next Homegrown for the Revs.

He's a CT. kid, might be better off with Redbulls or NYCFC. Revs are a disaster, they'll send him to the NCAA to languish there for 4 years. Cheap FVckers.

They may, but the players need to choose to devote to the full 10 months of DA training and competition. 2017 was the last year the Revs Academy granted USSDA waivers. There's no loophole anywhere like you seem to think. It's an open add on period for full time DA players!! Talking about two separate things, you twit! Last player to be sent packing back to Brooks was the defender ML, last year (2017). That is all she wrote, over my friend.
Another poster. There's a loop hole. A player who is not registered can be added in the Spring without a waiver. A player registered in the fall needs a waiver

Look at the South Kent kids and some public school kids that were added to beachside without waivers. In fact NESJ did a piece on their new DAP adds. They are also easy to spot on roster because they have only played four or five games

Now the Revs may chose not to give waivers or chose not add kids in the fashion they Beachside did. The loophole does absolutely exist.

Except he lives near Hartford. Long hard haul to Red Bull's or NYCFC

that's stoopid. no parent of an 11 yo wants their kids turned over to traipsing around the country for hours for a single game. Learn somethin about academies. not all follow like the sheep

Other players have done it; NYCFC is more manageable of the two.
