Originally posted by Unregistered View PostTime has told us. Revs academy since 2007. 5 homegrown players and only one (Zachary Herivaux) is a true HG. The rest played only one season with their academy. Isaac Angking threatened to go to Europe so the Revs gave him $60,000 to stick around. Fc Dallas has signed more than a dozen homegrowns. For that matter, both cold weather franchises like Toronto and Montreal have more HG's than the Revs. Scales likes to repeatedly blame the shallow talent pool in New England. He's a classic deflector, never, ever takes any responsibility. He's the real problem over there.
Local Players:
Diego Fagundez- FC Boston Bolts
Scott Caldwell- Akron
Chris Tierney- FC Boston Bolts
Zach Heriveaux- the only true HG (plays in USL)
Missed prospects from local area:
Jack Harrison- The Berkshire School /EPL- Scales could have had him in their system (1 year)
Mac Steeves- Needham High School- FC Boston Bolts/ Houston Dynamo MLS
Miles Robinson- Arlington High School- FC Boston Bolts/ Atlanta United MLS
many, many more in the pipeline to list here...
Scales is not interested in partnering with the following Prep schools that have Ghanaian prospects through the Right To Dream program. These African athletes are coming to New England Prep Schools, all he has to do is have them play one season with the Revs. Too arrogant to concede.
The Hotchkiss School
Millbrook School
Cate School
Kent School
Salisbury School
The Taft School
Scales is totally unqualified to be in his position.

Fact: If you have pro potential you shouldn't squander it with the Revs (or most of MLS for that matter)
Fact: MLS rookie salary sucks
Fact: you're a douche

If you did just a little research you would find different.
