There's many great players that get no stars or hardly any, andmany average players that get more. They don't even have the staff to cover many games and even then might not see that particular player play in that game or only limited minutes. It's comical to think they are actually "evaluating" all of one top league let alone multiple leagues

I'm the OP. This is what I'm talking about. I'm really wondering how the hell they rate people. What's the process?

They send a few staff members to watch games. Their qualifications? A mystery. About the only thing you can find on the website is (About US section)

In the late 90s, Robert Ziegler, an avid soccer fan, coach and parent, began taking an academic interest in our broken pre-professional soccer system. What fueled the fire was the “news” surrounding the game; either official news releases from the organizations themselves or regional bulletin boards with anonymous bullies.

Looking for opportunities to positively influence the game, TopDrawerSoccer.com was created with the mission to provide authoritative, responsible coverage of college and high school aged soccer; promoting the game and the players who play it.

Since 2003, the pre-professional soccer system have undergone a renaissance. New leagues, new rules, and reform efforts have been implemented, and to accompany the positive growth in the system, TopDrawerSoccer.com has become more than just a website, it’s now a destination. The home of the pre-professional game.

TopDrawerSoccer.com is now the official provider of college and club scores for over 100,000 players and 5,000 teams, ranks over 3,000 players, hosts nationwide TDS Unsigned Showcases, and produces the yearly College Soccer Recruiting Guide.

They also get information on players from US Soccer and their camps. I would guess that TDS has no clue that the boys are twins neither mind brothers.

Looks like lots of schools are getting 2-star players. I'm sure their future college coaches are thrilled

He's all set, and all without needing stars. Coaches know talent, they don't need an ill- informed rating system. My point was do you think coaches recruited all these local players yet they're only worthy of 2 stars? I find that hard to believe, don't you?

15's won. Several future homegrowns on that team.

Yeah right, blah, blah, blah. 17's lost 7-0 and promptly sending 5 players from that disastrous team (including the GM's son) to Arizona for training with the equally as pathetic first team. Brad Friedel must be looking at the exits already. Bryan Scales is a malignant cancer. The only cure would be to excise that disease from anything to do with youth development.
