That or they're just getting desperate for talent. Already trying to identify new players to bring in next year to replace all the ones they'll cut and the end of the year. Holding ID clinics is way easier than actual scouting.

He's the Youth Director of a professional soccer team. He's been crap at his duties since he's been hired for that job. Humility is also the last quality Scales possesses.

For boys born in the 2004 to 2009 birth years, these free regional ID Centers allow players to showcase their skills in front of the professional academy staff from the New England Revolution. Players will be separated by birth year pools and train in a fun and professional environment for 90 minute sessions. The Academy staff will be on-hand to observe the players and communicate with the players and parents about the development process of the New England Revolution Academy.

Not necessarily. They'll probably cut you quickly enough so you can make up for lost time at a club that actually develops. The older kids they bring in as replacement's flat line.

If your child stops developing from an early enough age then middling performance will be the new normal and you won't feel like you've been cheated. Great strategy by the Revs.
