To be fair, it's a big country.

On the other hand, the USMNT lost out of Subotic and he was playing in a public park across the street from Bradenton. Yes, that was years ago, but I don't believe for a second that Pulisic would have been identified by anyone in the system, much less found an MLS coach with the cojones or common sense to play him at 17. He'd have been stuck on some DA team "developing".
The scouts scouted 3 Rev 2003 players in Oct without input from the Revs, except for the positions they stuck them in. RR desperately wanted 'his' players to go and plead as he might, they chose yet another Valeo player. His pleas were finally answered when one of his chosen went to a futures camp. But most of the Revs favorites did not attend camps.

Chris Tierney was a Noble and Greenough and FC Bolts product and never, ever, played for the Revs Academy so to market those three men as homegrown players is a lie. They were not developed by Scales' program.

Need to understand that the Revs so-called favorites are guarded for fear of losing them to other clubs. There are agents everywhere nowadays. More independent agents than college scouts. Glad some of the favorites have walked away and pursuing other pathways. The non impact players are sent to these "future' camps as Revs tokens. It leads nowhere.

Have heard them publicly say that they are afraid of the top players sustaining injuries while taking part in these ID camps. They send tokens to US Soccer to appease MLS.

Their track record would support this theory

And the August camp for 2003's?

There are 12 cities that are vying for four MLS expansion bids. Minnesota Vikings owners just got into the act with the Nashville entry and planning to build a SSS with private/public $.
The Krafts are a pitiful soccer ownership group. Embarrassing for an area with such a rich and storied sports history. The Revolution's so-called "Academy" is just as pitiful.

Can't wait to see the rag tag B players that will be on the Revs youth rosters. Top players are exiting Foxboro fast and furiously. Bunch of GPS, NEFC, Bayside, WU and Aztec, B and C level players. Future is looking bright for the first team.

Revs Academy teams, looking more like NPL/NEP squads.

Will be easy to identify. Who doesn't know the area's top players at this juncture? How did this MLS team sink so quickly?
