The big Seacoast 2004 forward who accepted then rescinded his Revs offer played all 80 minutes vs both Chargers and Arsenal Colorado in the U14 showcase.

Arsenal started one 03, Chargers two 03's and the rest of them were all 02's.

How did the Revs let this kid slip away?

His kid is doing fine at Seacoast. The Revs are no better for development so it's an easy choice.

Size and strength evens out with puberty. It's obvious he is an early developer.
Not that skilled though.

The early developers are usually the ones that end up the shortest at age 18. But US Soccer is obsessed with them. They are also obsessed with tiny players hoping they will grow like Pulisic.

Pretty sure his dad is working so don't know who this is. From what I understand the only reason he didn't go to the Revs is the distance he would need to travel to practice and the fact that he has other siblings who play club soccer for other clubs. That's it. End of story. Stop trying to make drama where there isn't any. BTW, the kid is a nice kid and very friendly with lots of players from many clubs due to attending various training centers and tournaments with other clubs.

While I agree US Soccer is wrongly obsessed with size, it is not true that early developers end up shorter in the long run. Some kids are above average in height from Day 1. Kids who are 99% percentile before puberty will most likely be tall adults. Now if a kid is average-ish then spurts earlier than his peers that's a temporary blip. But pediatricians can predict with pretty good accuracy where a kid will end up height wise long before puberty sets in - even more so when you take parent height into account. Puberty is a timing issue; height is genetic

And it's absolutely a stupid thing to do to a young kid. If he's on the radar, he's on the radar. They play the same crappy teams as the Revs in DA.

Rescinded? Interesting. My understanding is kid is good, but needs to keep himself in check. ;) His ego may match his playing ability.

The Revs aren't worth driving more than 30-40 minutes for. Lots of players turned down their offers this year. Look for that trend to continue.

Whether that post was or wasn't made by a parent, let this be a lesson to never come on TS touting what an amazing player your kid is, or anyone else's kid you admire, for that matter. The kid and parents just end up getting trashed.

Agreed. That is why I doubt it is a parent. Clearly someone who hates the Revs. Not every club is for every kid. We have had no issues with the Revs. I know others who have had problems.
