Yep, I remember this time last year when the Valeo crazies were so excited about their prospects at the Revs. Boy, has their tune changed over the past 10 months.

Hard coaches that are "strategic" are the norm. A good coach can be tough, clear, concise, and confident in training and managing the team, but if their moral compass is off, that is unacceptable in any sport.

And...I'd take a tough confident coach (with strong values) over the kind that are fake and nice hypocrites and treat players like cwap in passive/aggressive ways. When you come across a coach like this, others are like "he is so nice", so you feel like a loner when they pull their creep card. Eventually everyone figures them out, but you might be already burned.

Good point- some were given permission to play outside of the academy, some played without permission but with their knowledge, and it was just so friggin random.

Or was it like with corporations - your choice is quit and say you're "spending more time with family" or get flat put fired (in this case cut). The Revs communicate their opinions on players pretty clearly through their actions. If a family gets caught off guard they're pretty thick.

I doubt they were getting cut, especially the one who started and played the entire spring season. The academy update has him assisting every other goal. The other one was getting the shaft from RR so he may or may not have been on the cut list. I knew DL would pull his kids. I predicted this pages ago. So what's the plan now? Anyone know?
