DA is not more of a commitment in the sense the teams train 3x a week (probably less on average since they don't train 4x/wk and have cancellations or days off after a busy weekend). Getting to Foxboro from far away - for sure, there's a significant commitment to driving, and if the family judges that worthy, then that's great.

Clint Dempsey's family drove 3 hours each way 4 times a week to soccer. I find that beyond crazy. However, as a fan of the USMNT, I'm very glad that they showed that level of commitment.

If the Revs were the required 4/week then yes a bit more commitment. Travel to games can kill weekends. In the NE travel it's too bad. Other regions have it worse.

No one at the Revs should be driving like the Dempsey's did.

Gotcha, I think I just pooped myself. I'll be worrying about it all summer. You have no idea where or who my son plays for. I do know all the Revs 2002's, and once again to reiterate, they are NOT Academy level players. Sorry for the bluntness.

Just free up your Bolts "tryout" evenings at Mt. Ida with Colwell. He'll then "congratulate" all of you Revs rejects that you successfully made the 2002 Boys ECNL squad. But hold up, at $2500 (+ travel). Enjoy!! Do you actually think you guys are going to crack the 01/02 Academy team? You were all riding the pine at the Revs for God's sake.
