NYCFC wimped out. For a world class organization to start that way was stupid. market share? They are free. A great brand name. A world class organization. Located in the largest and most affluent metro areas in the country could have started their own academy from the jump.

However that wasn't the point of the argument. The statement was that affiliated club players who have never played for a MLS team don't count for homegrown status. They don't. End of story

Don't know where he went. But the Ithaca coach has a spotty record and was not liked at all liked by the players. Sounds perfect for the Revs :)

Out of the gate who knew if they'd be "world class". Also not a US based group used to dealing with US youth soccer. Their focus was on building the mls team first. Going affiliate was the simple solution for the time being. Now they can profit on their own. They're also going whole hog with GDA supposedly

As long as he has designated favorites without meeting the rest of the team first, he'll fit in great!

All coaches have designated favorites. The new coach will have new favorites, so your bench player might finally have a chance.

The organization is world class by definition because its financial backing. It operates soccer clubs in the best league in the world and various other world leagues. So yes out of the gate they are world class.

Lots of groups have money and plans but are failures at execution

Good riddance to RR! any change will be beneficial to the teams. Especially the younger team.

We already know who the favorites are. Tides are changing very quickly my friends.

RR had a hissy fit yesterday. Such a great inspiration to our young impressionable players. Said they all sucked save for his favorite who happened to be injured. College soccer is a better fit for this guy. Bye bye.

                              Philadelphia Union Academy and Revs

Now this is the way an MLS Academy is supposed to be run. A 91st minute segment on a typical day at the New England Revolution Academy would consist of being in gridlock traffic on I95 for 2 hours, dropping your kid off at a shi*ty facility with an empty lot. 20 something clueless coaches with high school resumes trickling in with beat up Civic's. No athletic trainers or facilities for the boys, no nutritional people and the training barely lasts an hour and a half. Bryan Scales (the boss arrives on scene and yells obscenities to the boys). Cold pizza and Subway on bus rides to and from games. What an absolute laughing stock of an Academy that is!!

                              Watch this Revs parents:

What a shame. New England of all places. We have such a rich sports tradition and market. New ownership needed fast. Stephon Gilmore gets $60 million, the Revs Academy players get a Subway spicy Italian. They are wearing 2015 Revs away kits for crying out loud!
