You are a fool if you don't think NEFC, GPS, and the rest of the clubs are less expensive. The people that can afford to pay, pay, and the people who cannot are aided by the clubs. Big deal. Revs wins on the cost point, but every other club loses. Move on.

And for the typical club soccer family the minor differences in cost don't matter. Soccer skews middle-upper income. Saving $1000 won't sway them unless all else is equal, and that's never the case. Each club will have it's own pros and cons so families decide based on those factors (location, coaching, team, competitive level etc), not price.

um not the OP but you I think you really need to pay attention. The point was about comparing the cost of U16/U18 DAP in the only three local clubs that have it (Seacoast, Bolts and Revs). This was not about the costs at NEFC, GPS etc..).

For $4,000, the owner should be cool about it?! You sound as if you are impressed by the owner who doesn't force parents to pay (and kids to go) on an overseas trip. lol. Fun and a good experience for the kids, I'm sure... but in the grand scheme of things... probably not worth the money -- unless you have extra money like that to spare (which many do and that's great for them). ;)

Um, yeah, but you are clearly not affiliated with Seacoast, Bolts, or Revs.

And we're gonna get richer to boot! Everyone over $1M will be enjoying even bigger tax breaks , with the 1% never paying taxes at all! (Finally, free from carrying the lazy folks not as capable and hardworking as us ! )

What a glorious NT we will have. But don't get a scratch on their goldplated butts.

All these responses pretty much confirm that most people posting on this thread aren't even Revs affiliated people.

Fake news. What did she do to upset you anyway? Kid sat on the bench while hers played at Valeo?

She posted the initials and photos of Revs futsal players. Such an as$hole.

                            EXACTLY!

Most players and parents we know are generally pleased to be part of an MLS academy. Naturally there are exceptions here and there, and it's certainly not perfect, but still the top of the pyramid in New England.

So Revs bashing is most likely coming from parents who are on the outside looking in, not the other way around.

They're "generally pleased" because they're free to humble-brag and they've also crawled out from under the financial burden of club soccer for the first time in 5+ years. When it comes to the soccer played on the field or the limited playing time I can tell you most are not pleased after the first 6 months. There's a learning curve. They figure it out.

As for "top of the pyramid" that's more a perception is reality situation than anything else. The Revs pull from such a small sample size. They are geographically inconvenient for many of the better players in the state. You're buying into the marketing propaganda.

Revs doesn't market. Revs families don't humble-brag. Other clubs try to claim they are better than Revs first, Bolts second, Seacoast third.
