Great talent, without a doubt. Up there with Rennicks.

I just wonder when these Revs academy coaches slither back to their data entry day jobs during the day, do they ever contemplate the black hole of a organization they're involved in like the Revs academy that doesn't pay well, has no future, and doesn't support you in any way shape or form? Are they masochists? what's the deal with them? Are they all collectively stupid?

Scales purposely hires Dean College graduates, so yes, to your question....they're dumb.

Revs really shot themselves in the foot by being so stingy with HG contracts. Any future Revs academy players who are good enough to make as many appearances with the YNT as Rennicks will follow suit in looking to further their career abroad right out of high school. It would be a huge waste for Rennicks to head off to Indiana in hopes that Revs might give him the HG contract sometime over the next four years. Even with that, Revs can still mess up his development, probably sending him off to the Rhinos to wither away in obscurity. Hopefully, Frankfurt ends up working out for him.

Rochester Rhinos??? I that even a legitimate affiliation? What crap. I hope Rennicks ends his relationship with the Revolution and ends up playing with NYCFC and up front with Jack Harrison. Poetic justice. Revs suck big time.

                Gillette

Has anyone notice how outdated Gillette has become? The architecture is becoming laughable. The bright orange columns and stainless steel curves has such a dated '90's look.
Kraft is a piece of work. Why doesn't he just go away, deport him to Israel.

Isn't the U16 in Europe already? He up and left Revs in Jan. Where is he playing?

He's not relevant, like the futsal winter break players.

Not relevant to the Revs. He left.

9 goals in the fall is not relevant?

They're not talking about the 99 player. I think they're talking about the 00 who left Milton Academy for Spain.

Did anyone see this juicy article on TDS? Nine academies gave what they spent last year.

Pulled from each individual questionnaire, here’s the ranked list of the nine who submitted figures on how much they spent in 2016 on their respective academy setups (others wouldn't share figures).

                            9. New England Revolution: $1 million
                            t8. D.C. United: $1.5 million
                            t8. Montreal Impact: $1.5 million
                            6. Chicago Fire: $1.75 million
                            5. Columbus Crew: $2.5 million
                            t4. FC Dallas: $3 million
                            t3. Portland Timbers: $3 million
                            t1. LA Galaxy: $4 million
                            t1. Philadelphia Union: $4 million

                            As the article points out

These numbers are steadily (if slowly) trending upward, which is a good sign. But compare it with the resources behind the development system under-girding the 2014 World Cup champions and things are perhaps not so out of reach as it may seem. The total outlay on youth academy spending between the 36 DFL-controlled clubs in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga was about $160 million in 2016. Split between 36 clubs, that’s an average of about $5.5 million per club.

And I'm talking about the 01 from the U16's. How many are there?!

He went to Benfica, a small step up from the Revs.
