Not really, in the "white suburban clubs" American parents are fully aware that soccer and playing sports in general while maintain good grades, will help them enter a good college.

If a white suburban delusional dad talks about his kid "going pro" as the Brazilians mentioned here, what is the difference. OK for yt only?

There's a distinct difference. All parents and kids are entitled to dream about playing professionally one day. That isn't the problem. The problem is when you take your child out of his critical high school years and ship him off to some remote Brazilian village because some local coach has put you in contact with God knows who over there in the ridiculous hope that your dual national son will play professionally in a country where they manufacture soccer players like China manufactures diapers.

No I won't, and I'm not surprised you're not aware of it happening. This type of news does not enter the toney town of Wellesley. Or even the local Starbucks there.

The buzz is that one of the U16 players left and went to Europe, not some remote village in the rain forests of Brazil.

Or just name the club. Obviously it doesn't happen, you are full of it. There are a few futsal shysters making ridiculous promisses but the shipping them to Brazil scam is an urban legend promoted by a few dopes like yourself.

So in other words you know nothing. Even if they did, what business is it of yours? I'm sure they would find fault with how you parent as well.

That's the move to make, although not easy with EU labor, residency and visa requirements. then if it doesn't work out at least you spent time living and training in Europe - a great life experience and maybe the MLS will hire you :)

Totally agree. So a U16 is going?
