A 10 month season should mean 10 months of training. As of now it's 9 months with 3 day/week practices (4.5 hrs/week = 180hrs / year).

Friends with older kids always told me that as exhausting as the early years are with their energy and keeping them safe and running around, it's when they get older parenting get s much tougher. Big kids = big problems.
