Appears as if Rev's Academy doesn't care if the players play futsal in the winter months with other clubs/teams... Which is fine. They just need to stop saying that it isn't allowed (since clearly it is...).

Finally, please remember that US Soccer DA regulations prohibit players from playing in outside competitions during the DA season (this includes winter break). Understanding that a number of our players like to play with friends during the break, any local indoor soccer and futsal opportunities should be of an informal nature (no regional or national culminating event). We do expect the players to rest, recover and take a break from a demanding Fall season in preparation for an equally demanding spring season that stretches into late June/July. Why would you ask permission? I assume that parents asked earlier than when this email went out so some received permission, others didn't, and then this goes out.
