NE Futsal Regionals: A team of Revs Players

So.....many of the 2002 players will be playing in the tournament under the club Explosion:

    https://htgsports.net/scoring/Schedu...&Pool=0&Team=0

    https://htgsports.net/scoring/Bracke...division=17736

Weren't we all told by management that the Revs players cannot play on other teams?

    From Scales:
We have had a few inquiries about Academy players competing with outside futsal teams this winter. Please be advised that US Soccer prohibits DA players from competing with outside teams during the academy year. We will have our own futsal programming during the winter months for the U14’s and U13’s starting in December, leading up the USSDA Futsal event on February 11th. We also want all of our Academy players to be able to take a physical and mental break in November/December to recover before we begin pre-season training again on Wednesday, January 18th.

When are you going to grasp that there are rules and then there are exceptions to the rules? Go ahead and complain to Scales if you want and please let us know how it goes.

While the rule certainly is a hindrance to development, at the same time, you did join the program, rules and all. Do you really want to be teaching your kids at 13/14 years old that they are "special" so the rules don't apply? Hope this isn't a common theme for these families or I'd hate to see how these entitled kids end up as adults....

Yes douche bags spawn baby douche bags. But if no one ever calls them on bad behavior it will continue.

No mystery how the kids of the entitled ones will turn out, just talk to one of the loud mouth parents. What they don't understand is that the mommas boys have absolutely no chance of continuing at this level with the Revs, none. It's not because of the constant complaining and bashing of the coaches and other players--though I'm sure the Revs love that--it's the mental toughness, independence and critical thinking part of the game alluded to earlier. This sad story plays out every year and always has the same ending. That won't change, no matter how entitled they think they are.

Meanwhile the U13's will each play 10 minutes per game at a one day showcase and the other U14's don't play at all.

This has zero to do with a small group given permission (?) to play in a tournament that most of the other players would love to participate in.

Seek your own opportunities then. They don't always land in your lap.

They are the chosen ones for a good reason.

Poster doesn't seem to get that. Even if the "chosen" designation is unjust (it happens), sometimes life is unfair. How the parent or player choses how to deal with it will decide their fate

The ones in the tournament are not the "chosen" ones by any means-- quite the opposite.

If that's the case then the Revs really don't care what they do and they'll be gone next year
