I have no dog in this fight. But I did see the revs u17 play Seacoast a couple weeks ago. I also just saw GPS play nefc in the u17 state championship. The revs u-17 team would wipe out either u17 team, gps or nefc (and the revs are mostly 02's playing up). That tells you where your coveted 'npl' teams are at ( I believe GPS and nefcu 17s are the number one and two teams in the state)

And I will add for good measure, did anyone see who the revolution first team lost to last night? Is the best development that the New England region has to offer? My biggest point is that there's nothing too good going on anywhere in United States soccer.

At any pro levels the margin are very thin. On any given day a team from a good 2nd Division can beat a top Division team. Have you ever watch the FA Cup? Teams from the Championship League regularly beat up on mid to lower Premiership teams. In fact, once in a while even to mighty clubs falls.

If you can’t competently play every position on the field (save keeper) at the U13-U15 age groups, trust me, you’re probably not going to be able to play DA at the older ages, much less at a top D1 school. NPL/private school is probably a better route in this case.

Seems like there are a couple of other Revs releases from last year that haven't updated. I strongly believe it's intentional. They are present GPS players. You think college coaches are going to be duped by this? Moron parents.

It's a smart move, although you may not like it. Perhaps your son is deeper in the depth chart at mid, and they still want to give him pt and opportunities in another position.

Very true, defenders who can score are very valuable and essential in the modern game. Great defenders are fast, great foot skills and have the field vision to setup a play. Good midfielders from the younger age groups often make great defenders, win games and get noticed by D1 coaches.
