I am not sure how you can say that. My kid has played both and NPL isn’t close to the Revs level. My kid will probably be cut soon, but he would be a stud again on an NPL team.

Certainly not at all age groups, but at the higher age U17 and up I I do think there are at least three teams in NPL that are better than the Revs. At younger ages not so much. What that does tell you is the Revs are not developing and don't have the best players. Everything is there for them to be the studs of the East, but kids are not stupid and see what is happening there. Much better options for development elsewhere. Unless you are a starter and playing significant playing time it really is not conducive to development. Kids need to have significant playing time to improve. Competition is good, but training no different than other clubs. I want the Revs to succeed, but the current model is flawed!
He's just not that good. I'm not sure why anybody wants to claim him. Local boy done good. Could he play for LA Galaxy? Could he play for LA galaxy II, no and no. Atlanta United? No
I like that. true although he might make the LA Galaxy II starting lineup.

No one cares about US pro soccer. Look at the college commitment list. That's the focus for 99.9999999999999% of the players and parents out there. Hello Ivies or academically strong schools. Welcome to 6 figure starting salaries, unlike the New England Revolution players.
You should be forced to walk around the sidelines at NPL games with a stamp on your forehead: "Dufus who thinks this is Revs level".
This is a bit mean, but the truth is that stepping up to DA level from NPL is a shock to most players. The speed of play and technique just don’t compare. NPL may beat DA teams from time to time, that is part of the unpredictable beauty of soccer. Baseball, Football and Basketball just don’t have that level of unpredictability. It is why soccer is the global game. Humans love surprises.

U17 Revs team is an anomaly. All you Revs bashers are having a field day but that age group in this area is just not good. Bolts are not much better and are also not going to make the playoffs. The 01-02 age group in Mass is just bad.

Football and basketball do have that strong element of surprise just like soccer. Baseball helps me fall asleep.
How does anyone expect the Revs teams to do well when they are the worst recruiters of talent?? Teams of lazy, selfish players! It’s all who you know and connections! For a program that has the opportunity to be the best around, it’s shameful! Most boring games to watch!

An anomaly? They are 67th out of 78 teams in the country. The Revs are a fully funded academy team. 67th! Let that sink in. There are 40+ clubs with no MLS affiliation that are ahead of them. Anomaly. What a joke. BTW, the Bolts are more than 30 spots ahead of the Revs in the table. "Not much better?" What a joke.
