We had a couple parent screamers on my sons team. Yelling instructions onto the field the entire first half. The coach pulled the parents together at half time and said he heard "instruction" and negative crap being yelled from the parents. Coaching was his job. If it happened again, and he figured out who was doing it, he promised their child would be yanked from the field, and not get get on the pitch again this or future games without first meeting with him and the club board to address such unsportsmanlike behavior.

    Problem solved.

Ours "handles" it as well. Even had a coach come across a field once and tell the parent to leave. Parents are giving one more chance but if they blow it again they're out - the kid can play but parent cannot attend. It shuts anyone else thinking about saying anything up very quickly.

So, as he gets older he won't be able to use his size and the refs won't tolerate the bull. Why the Rev coaches are so selective as to whom gets punished or benched and who get rewarded is a coin toss. Some players just do what they want and others get benched for sneezing.
So both the Oakwood parent and the referee were tormenting this kid? Sounds to me it would be pretty hard for any kid to shrug that off.

There's always many sides to a story. And this is TS...take it all with a grain of salt.

Well, just popped up his playing history with the Revolution (two years), he's never been issued a red and has 3 yellow's in over 30 games. That does not constitute a "dirty player". It seems what is really going on is that teams have recognized that he's a good player and he's being marked pretty hard. That is all that is happening here. Part of the game.

That OW dad POS should pop a Xanax next time he attends his kid's game. Not cool behavior. Actually very dangerous.

Maybe it's because the 2002's on the Revs suck ,except for the kid we're talking about( who plays up permanently) and maybe one other, I believe, I think, even that's a stretch. Forget that, the rest suck.

Oh, yes he is. Without a doubt.

Earlier someone posted that the dad's kid got an elbow from the player in question in the fall. True or not that's no excuse for attacking a kid - these aren't even nearly adult 18 year olds. Hopefully OW calls him out on it, but it's unlikely. Some clubs let parents be aholes with no repurcussions

                        Why display your ignorance?

Common knowledge for anybody familiar with that age group. No ignorance here and no relation to the kid.

                          A GPS parent.

As a GPS parent you don't know all the Revs kids on that team and how they have developed recently.

Oh God, I certainly do. Not a debate.

Ok, it must be ignorance then.
