So why do it then? To get near zero playing time just to say you played for UVA?! Or to get an average (arguably less than average education) playing for Michigan state or Louisville or Charlotte ( while getting little or no playing time) ! Does not make an ounce of sense to me.

in the end it really doesn't matter does it? Ultimately your kid if he's good, will place in the appropriate team and hopefully (more importantly) in a good academic school.
