Revs sent 2 players to UVA last year.

Great school and they both got little or no playing time. And they are very strong players. It's tough to play at the top schools. I'm sure they had many other offers that they both turned down.

So why do it then? To get near zero playing time just to say you played for UVA?! Or to get an average (arguably less than average education) playing for Michigan state or Louisville or Charlotte ( while getting little or no playing time) ! Does not make an ounce of sense to me.

Chill out Dude. I don't think there are many players that can walk on to the field as freshman and get regular playing time a big D1 schools.

Duke is ranked #93 - I wouldn't call that high D1

Who cares about soccer rankings - all I care about is academics.

Revs did have two placed at UVA - good soccer and academics. Those are probably the best overall.

Very few freshmen will play out of the gate at a top program. Or maybe they cared more about the school and were willing to take a chance with the soccer. Sometimes those types of tradeoffs have to be made.

in the end it really doesn't matter does it? Ultimately your kid if he's good, will place in the appropriate team and hopefully (more importantly) in a good academic school.

That may be true but UNC (1 commit) is the only good academic school in that "high level D1 out of state" list!! No offense to the players but I wouldn't want my kid to go to Louisville, Indiana or michigan state ( have u seen their acceptance rate!).

Show me a high D1 AND decent academic school and NOW you're talking !!

If your kid wants to "go pro" as a soccer player, apparently you have failed him as a parent. So why stop now? Skipping college and moving to Europe is what he should do. And you should encourage it.
