That's how it works for any DA game - plenty of players travel and may never see the field at all. At least with the Revs you don't have to pay for travel

Its embarrassing no doubt however, just like the new young age group, their parents will mature with time maybe. Any Player that gets moved up at any time knows its a promotion and opportunity. If you can, focus on the big picture like the Brito kid just committing to a college.

Free trip to Florida and hanging out with the team!

I think many parents are more concerned that their kids will simply not improve with this model. You can pretend to be patient, but reality will hit when you see how good the players are from other, more intense, DA programs. You have to remember that the older Rev teams were not developed by the Rev coaches, but the younger teams will be.

So will your player be a victim of what not to do by age 17?

I'm sure the kids would have rather played a decent amount

Particularly with the Revs I think there's a lot to be said for waiting. We know their development isn't up to snuff and they will cut players and make room for ones developed elsewhere. And truthfully as a parent you need to know your kid to could lose interest or plateau. Find a good club where he'll get good coaching, lots of PT and see where it goes when gets closer to high school.

Please don't speak for the many parents like you've been soliciting their view but please do tell us all abut the more intense DA programs that you seem to have access to. My God listening to people like you makes me sad

Sure! Just ask me on the sideline since you seem so sure who I am.
And I apologize for making you sad, but I don't care about you.

I wouldn't worry. From reading this thread, it would appear the Revs parents have put a lot of thought into their son's development during these crucial years and are very happy.
                            Best of luck!

Why not answer the question. I don't know or care who you are, just interested in hearing about the more intense programs you rant on about.

Must be the envious people who produced the unchosen one. Get over it.
