Seacoast tied the 18's 0-0 last week and it was an evenly played game (I have no one in DAP). Seacoast 16's got stomped but it points to the often raised Revs criticism that their development gets worse with time.

The 13 and 14's are fine too. The kids have learn to play as a team.
Just not the kids that spend all that time on the bench.

Yes the 13 and 14 teams doing good. But that is not what poster mean.

The limited number of practices for the 13's and 14's are rearing their ugly head already. Somehow the 13's tied the Bolts a few weeks ago and the 14's tied Seacoast last weekend. Something needs to change if these groups hope to be successful.

Happens a lot at younger ages. Raw talent wins early in the season but after a few months it's more about coaching, dev, team practices.

I'm not sure if the Revs ever put their best product out on the field against Seacoast. That said, there's no excuse for the 18's not winning that game. Give Seacoast credit for playing their ass off in the game that is considered their Super Bowl every time it's played. Kudos to them.

Well it needs to change. Maybe they need to shake some things up in the roster.

All you have to do is look at the way college soccer is played and you've got your answer.

That type of coaching does not and should not apply to 13 year olds in Academy. I would pull my kid out of there.

What is that going to do? Shake it up at the coaching level is more like it.

                      Old boys network won't change.

Revs u18 vs NY Red Bulls. 2-1 Revs win. Undefeated fall season and just beat #1 team.

U13s only one defeat fall season. Not bad.

The Revs 98/99/00 team has done very well against the NYRB over the years, winning approximately half of the games against them.

17/18s have a short roster of studs plus very talented 16s. Younger ages don't have the skill to play up and contribute plus they haven't filtered out the weaker players yet. Give it time.

That age group combo has done well against the Red Bulls since the initial Revs U14 team 5 seasons ago.
