You people are funny. Get your priorities straight.

Secure at older ages? Check the number of roster spots on Revs u18 and double up on the Valium. You people are a Halloween freak show already at u13, chainsaws at Medway by then.

Poster speaks the truth. 80% whack. 20% normal. You'll find the normal ones trying to stand by themselves, or at least not saying much when stuck with the other parents

Or the ones with smug looks on their faces because they think their kid is a King. We've heard it before, so much changes as the players mature. Which parent will they resemble? Will the shorter ones grow tall and the taller ones stop growing? Will some get chubby over the winter or summer? Who knows? Nobody has a crystal ball- not even the coaches.

Maybe it's because my daughter isn't at this level yet, but the way many of you act is unfathomable to me.

Undoubtedly your daughter is better than some of the boys on our team.

Parents are getting disparaged because of looks on their faces. Looks?

Plenty of daggers on the girls side as well at the highest levels. But with far more money and opportunities to play in college then on the men's side it isn't nearly as bad.

                        2003

Is the 2003 age group screwed next year? To align with international standards, they will be U15 and the 2002's will be U16. So will Revs have a U15/U16 team or a single age team for each? A single team means 2/3 of current U13's cut and some U14's.

The 2004's will then be U14. Will Revs have a 2005 U13 age group?

                          Yes, you are screwed.

The U13 team functions like a pinball game. The center back has two settings. Pass it to the left up the line. Pass it to the right to the goalie. Rinse and repeat. And repeat.

And you wonder why the parents are stressed out

Some clubs hang on to U15s longer by having a "pre-academy" team at U15. They don't play DA but other top leagues, under the premise that they still have a shot at making the regular academy team when they mature a bit more. In reality a lot of those kids still get cut. Given the Revs aren't known for spending a dime more than necessary I don't see that happening. I know there's been talk of DA going to a single aged team per year but I haven't seen anything official. Regardless, DA is supposed to be a funnel so many kids will get cut no matter what
