Training one one's own or kicking the ball around with a sibling does not offset the relative lack of formal training provided by the Revs. 2-3 days per week is simply not enough.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThis is so true. I saw Fairfield play Northeastern last month, over half of the Stags roster, I think I counted 14 or 15 players, were from overseas. Most international players were from England, and that has to do with Rees and his network back in the UK, but I was surprised at the number from Norway and Sweden.

If allowed by DAP, since it's not official training, would it be that hard to set up a pick-up game for the team to get in some extra playing time. Maybe send out an invite to a couple of age groups (say U12-U14) to round up enough kids, as obviously some with longer commutes may not be able to make it an extra day. You could even invite kids from other DAP clubs, Bolts are close by. It would be great for DAP camaraderie and sportsmanship, and a fun, low pressure way to get in some extra playing time with top players from the area.

2) Where are you going to do it? Most fields are fully booked all day every day. And in most instances you have to have insurance and pay for a field, even lousy ones
3). If you want more training you shouldn't have gone to the Revs
